If you have heard of the Sawgrass Mills Mall in Sunrise, Florida, then you know that the mammoth shopping destination is one of a kind. In fact, when you see people at the Miami or Fort Lauderdale airports with more than two suitcases, you can safely assume they made a trip to the outlet mall at Sawgrass. In fact, once I was flying home from Panama and heard someone on the flight say “I’m going to Sawgrass Mall Miami!”
Sawgrass Mall Miami
Contrary to what people have heard in Central and South America, the mall is actually situated in Sunrise, which is just west of Fort Lauderdale. It’s only about 35 minutes from most parts of Miami, making it easy to visit whether you are staying in the Fort Lauderdale or Miami suburbs. No matter where you visit from, you’ll appreciate the savings on the designer brands, as well as the miles of walking terrain, restaurants, and scenery, in one of our biggest tourism destinations.
