Breakfast is probably my favorite meal of the day, and I’m really happy to have one of the better breakfasts in South Florida in my town of Weston. Other than the Sunday brunch at Blue Moon Fish Co., Mitch’s Westside Bagels is probably my favorite place to grab a bite in the morning. And with breakfast served during all operating hours, it’s not a rare occasion for me to stop there for lunch for some more breakfast food.
Mitch’s Westside Bagels Weston Review
I go to Mitch’s just about every weekend (include this morning as I write this!) because I can’t get enough of this place. I’ve never had a bad meal here, and they have an extensive menu of which I’ve tried just about everything at this point. For me, my go-to is a bacon and cheddar omelette, with hash browns and toast on the side. Another favorite is the crunch french toast, which is cooked with a corn flake crust and is as delicious as it sounds.
They have a wide variety of pancakes that my nephew absolutely loves, and I’m not immune to ordering them either. My top choice in that department is their strawberry banana pancakes, full of fruit goodness and a nice sugary taste. Give their chocolate chip pancakes a try, too! They also have some more adventurous kinds of pancakes like M&M and Oreo which my nephew has ordered a few times and loved.
The prices are very reasonable here. The above pictured omelette with sides and a coffee came to about $12.50 before tip, so it’s a great value no matter what you get.
As this is a deli, of course you can find a wide selection of offerings catering to that persuasion, such as challah french toast, lox and eggs, corned beef hash, matzoh ball soup and others. Exactly the types of things you would expect from this type of eatery. The lunch menu is just as robust as the breakfast menu, with tons of sandwiches and soups to choose from, but I’m a breakfast enthusiast and can honestly say I haven’t diverged from the breakfast menu since it is served during all hours.
The service here is great, you never have to worry about your coffee mug needing refreshing. Very attentive and friendly staff and quick service. When I go alone for lunch I take a seat at the counter and I usually have my food in front of me within five minutes. Can’t beat that!
This deli is located off of Weston Road between Royal Palm Boulevard and Indian Trace. The facilities are very clean and seating is ample. They even have outdoor seating in the rear with a waterfront view that makes for a great time when the weather is cooperating.
All in all, I love having this place so close by and it’s evident by how often I am there. I’m still full from my omelette this morning! If you’re in the area and hungry, this is definitely a place worth checking out to fill your belly.
