One of the longest running bar & grills in Weston, The Weston Flanigan’s always has business. Their perfectly located seafood bar & grill is right off Interstate 75 and Weston Road, backing up to a water way in arguably the best piece of real estate in the city. Today I’ll share with you my Weston Flanigan’s review, as well as share more about the historic Florida Flanigans restaurants in case you are new to the area and haven’t heard of this very Florida brand.
Flanigan’s Seafood Bar & Grill in Weston, Florida
There are numerous locations across the state, but today we’ll isolate just the Weston Road Flanigan’s and share with you what you can expect. If you ask any local about the Weston “Flannies,” you’ll probably hear them talk about their baby back ribs and their lunch burger special. And guess what, they aren’t wrong!
While Flanigan’s prides itself as a “seafood bar & grill,” many people rave about their baby back ribs. Even their own website calls them “Legendary.”
The whole vision behind this bar & grill was that of Joe “Big Daddy” Flanigan, who wanted a place everyone could feel welcome at. This location doesn’t have a liquor store attached to it like some other locations do, but this is one of the busiest of the over 20 restaurants in their portfolio. (Although from what I hear the South Miami location is the leader by a country mile.)
As a local neighborhood spot, this location stands out in Weston. There aren’t many places that are neighborhood bar and grills in Weston. Many people would say that Smoke on the Water cigar lounge is, but they don’t serve food. Others would say that Jose’s Uncle Al’s is a neighborhood bar & grill, but that’s technically just outside of Weston in the town of Sunrise. So, if you are looking for a unicorn in the City of Weston, the Flanigan’s in Weston may be your calling.

Final Thoughts on Flanigans on Weston Road
If you are from Florida, you know that Flanigans is a timeless establishment that has its own following. I feel like people either love or hate this place! I find myself somewhere in between, personally. I am not a huge fan of it, but I don’t hate it. From time to time it’s a great place to get a beer and a lunch special, but it does feel out of place in vibrant, cultural Weston.
