The Department of Business and Professional Regulation (DBPR) is the authoritative agency overseeing the licensing and regulation of over 1.6 million businesses and professionals throughout the State of Florida. Office of the Secretary

At the helm of the Department of Business and Professional Regulation is the Secretary, a role appointed by the Florida Governor and confirmed by the Florida Senate. With no set term limit, the Secretary serves at the pleasure of the Governor and shoulders the responsibility of planning, directing, coordinating, and executing the Department’s powers, duties, and functions, along with its divisions and bureaus.
