Mount Dora is known for its festivals and antique shows, as well as its hilly terrain and nearby rail trails, so it should come as no surprise that this quaint Florida community is home to the oldest bicycle festival in the state.
For its fifth decade, on the weekend of Oct. 1-2, 2022, the Mount Dora Bicycle Festival serves as ground zero for pedal power. More than a thousand cyclists of varying skills are expected to take up the ride, and thousands more will join the celebration. It is Florida’s oldest and largest bike festival.

Thursday October 7, 2021
- 9 a.m.-8 p.m.: Check-in at Chamber Office
- 4 p.m.: Trimble Park Social Ride 13-mile
- 6 p.m.: Thursday Night Throwdown at the Mountain Bike Trail (lights required), Meet at Adrenaline Bikeworks.
- 7:30 p.m.: Gather at Adrenaline Bikeworks for some fun social time!
